Experience the breathtaking beauty of Hardanger on this unforgettable day trip along the stunning Hardangerfjord.

Admire the 3 big waterfalls - Mørkholsfossen, Fossen Bratte and Steinsdalsfossen.
Our first stop is at Mørkholsfossen, here ou are able to get realy close to the waterfall, it's almost like a hidden lagoon. Just 5 min from here, we visit Fossen Bratte with it's 80 meter drop and rich history.

In Øystese we will visit a apple farm and taste what is referred to as "The world's best apple cake" when the owners will give us a good insight into running an orchard in Hardanger.

Steinsdalsfossen is one of Norway's most popular waterfalls. With a height of 50 metres, the waterfall is particularly famous for the path that runs behind the waterfall, so that visitors can walk dry-shod and experience the waterfall's power up close.

Detailed itinerary

Our first stop will be at the beautifull waterfall ''Mørkholsfossen''.
This is the lower part of Fossen Bratte and you are able to get realy close to the waterfall.

Just 5 minutes drive from our fisrt waerfall, we stop at Fossen Bratte. This is one of the biggest waterfalls in the area, and has a rich history.

Today we drive in a tunnel behind the waterfall, but when we park we can use the old road to get right up to the top of the waterfall. We can also choose to move the opposite way - down to the bottom of this mighty waterfall.

Here we will visit a farm and taste what is referred to as "The world's best apple cake". The cake is made from apples from Spildegarden, and the owners will give us a good insight into running an orchard in Hardanger.

Øystese is a charming little village surrounded by high mountains and the Hardangerfjord.

Norheimsund is the ''capital'' of Hardanger. Beautifull view of the fjord, lots of places to take pictures. We take a small walk alng the fjord
