Bergen has nickname as the "Capital of Fjords" and the "Center of medeival trade". Old quaters of Bryggen preserved spirit of medeival trading city that became the busiest trading crossroad in Scandinavia many centuries ago. Many famous Norwegians were born here. You will visit Bergenhus Fortress and Haakon Hall that became the center of royal power in Norway hundreds years ago. No entrances, you will see them from the fortress yard. You will be immersed in real atmosphere of the past and will get also information about life in this city today.

One of the oldest Fish Markets in Norway where you can see, taste and eat dishes almost cooked almost from all types of fish that can be catched in Norwegian Fjords.

A cluster of merchant houses that belonged to German Hanseatic League in medieval centuries. Unique costructions organized in special architectural system that was used by Hanseatic League more than 400 years. This area is inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.

The oldest stone church in Bergen that was erected between 1130 and 1180. The church is known also under the name of German church, because many centuries was used by Hanseatic Society in Bergen. Until the end of 19th century all services there were held in German. Visit inside the Church is not included in the tour program. You will explore the church from outside

Medieval Fortress that became the seat for Norwegian kings from 1100 year approximately. The oldest stone royal residence Haakon Hall and defense Rosenkrantz Tower both erected in the middle of the 13th century you can find there. From fortress bastions you can enjoy views of the city fjord and country of islands along the cost.

This medieval defense tower can be seen from all parts of old Bergen. The Tower is museum with the view point at the highest floor of the construction. We will examine it from outside. It will take around 10 min.

Haakon Hall that was erected in 1261 is still in use. This is the best place to meet foreign delegations. Medieval spirit of this palace is real sign of the history of Bergen. To enter the hall you need tickets. During our walking tour we will examine Haakon Hall from outside. 10 - 15 min
