Traditionally shared during weddings and other celebrations, banana beer has long been a central part of Rwandan culture. Although nowadays it can be sometimes bought at the local store, the traditional technique for making your own brew is a complex but amazing process.
You will discover the fabrication of this iconic Rwanda's beverage. From the harvesting to the degustation you will discover anything to know about it.

The tour will begin when we pick you up at your preferred hotel or location. After that we will take you on a walk through Nyakinama where you will meet and observe local women leading on this process.
We will also show you how the beer is processed at the local brewery and you will have the opportunity to learn how to make this traditional fermented drink with locals.
At the end of the visit we will provide lunch for all participants and you will be able to purchase or take home your own beer.
The meeting point will be Rue du Pyrethre, in front of the Anglican Church. I will be waiting for you wearing a company shirt.
