Hotel pick-up, overviewed by Downtown Lisbon. This part of the city was completely rebuilt after the 1755 earthquake. We continue on to Upper Edward VII Park where we can enjoy the northern view of the city and the Tagus River. Graça neighborhood where a surprise absolutely unmissable. We set off for the Alfama neighborhood and their fantastic viewpoints and we'll go straight to Praça do Comércio. This imposing square was the arrival point for ships carrying goods, gold and spices from Africa, Brazil and India. Cais do Sodré, Ribeira Market, Alcântara, Surprise, Lunch. After lunch we go straight to Belém
Pass by Cordoaria National (where the first national flag with the current design was made), the MAAT (Museum of Art Architecture and Technology), the Electricity Museum and Coach Museum and we'll walk a bit to make digestion in the Tower of Belém. this 500-year-old military monument defended the city from frequent attacks by pirates and corsairs during the age of discovery and maritime exploration. We continue on to Monument to the Discoveries. Here you can have a fabulous panoramic view over the Tejo River and Belém, you will learn about all the conquests and discoveries of the incredible Portuguese sailors.
We can visit the Jerónimo's Monastery. This amazing monument in Manueline and late Gothic style took 100 years to build. Of course, before we finish the tour there is still a delicious surprise. Drop-off at the hotel and end of services.
