The town's architecture includes restored Cape Dutch buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries. However, the arrival of motor vehicles led to the demolition of some historical buildings to make way for new commercial buildings.
Our stop for lunch is steeped in history, dating back to 1692. This is a historic landmark and Stellenbosch icon.
