Standing atop Nui Nho (Small Mountain), the Christ the King Statue is one of Asia’s largest, rising 32 meters high with an 18.4-meter arm span. After climbing 847 steps, visitors are rewarded with sweeping views of Vung Tau’s coastline and can even step inside the statue to admire the city from Christ’s outstretched arms. More than a landmark, it is a sacred symbol of faith and pride in Vung Tau.

Thang Tam Temple is a renowned spiritual site in Vung Tau dedicated to Ca Ong, the Whale God who protects fishermen. The complex includes the Thang Tam Communal House, Hon Ba Temple, and the Lady of the Five Elements Temple. Its highlight is the Whale Temple, home to a giant whale skeleton symbolizing local fishermen’s reverence for the sea. With its ancient architecture and rich legends, the temple offers both cultural and spiritual insight into Vung Tau’s heritage.

Bach Dinh (White Palace), located on Big Mountain in Vung Tau, is a beautiful French colonial mansion built in the early 20th century for Governor Paul Doumer.
