Kamishikimi Kumanoza Shrine is located in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture, and is characterized by its mysterious cedar forest and stone lanterns lining the approach to the shrine. The deities enshrined here are Izanagi-no-Mikoto, Izanami-no-Mikoto, and Ishikimi Taishogun. The “Uchido Rock” at the end of the approach is a power spot that symbolizes the achievement of difficult goals. The central crater of Mount Aso is an active volcano and a famous tourist attraction in Kumamoto Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan.
