Paddle across Mendenhall Lake, navigating past icebergs, surrounded by Alaskan wildlife on an exceptionally stable, 28-foot, traditional Tlingit-style canoe, with all modern safety gear supplied. Venture within a safe distance of the awe-inspiring face of the Mendenhall Glacier and the beautiful Nugget Falls where you will hit the beach and refuel for the return paddle with an Alaskan-style snack. • If you have not already specified, you must advise supplier as soon as possible your Ship name, docking time, disembarkation time and departure time so that appropriate arrangements can be made
• Moderate to good physical condition is necessary for participation in this excursion as you will need to paddle for approximately 2 hours and climb in/out of the canoe with limited assistance.
• Children must weigh at least 40 pounds in order to fit into required life jackets.
• Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Children ages 13-17 must have a signed parental consent form to participate in the absence of a parent or guardian.
• We recommend bringing gloves and an extra pair of socks with you.
