Hear historical ghost stories about the town, including the ghost in the glass, a haunted hotel, the legendary “Tragedy on Mosman Street” and experience the eerie stock exchange after hours… On certain tours we have been granted access to the World Theatre.
Starting at the Charters Towers Visitor Information centre you will be taken on a guided walk of the spooky streets of Charters Towers after dark. Learn the haunted history of many of the grand buildings along Mosman Street and Gill Street.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your tour for check-in. Meet outside the Charters Towers Visitors Information Centre
Please ensure that this booking confirmation is circulated to all those that you have booked for.
• Guests must be wearing flat-soled enclosed shoes. Thongs, sandals and high heels are not be permitted on tour.
• We believe the weather really adds to the atmosphere of a tour. If there is rain, please bring an umbrella and or raincoat, and enjoy the tour. Tours will only be cancelled if conditions become dangerous - we will notify you in this circumstances.
• Please bring a water bottle with you to keep hydrated during tour.
• Please arrive 15 minutes before your tour is due to start.
• Tours are not suitable for children under 10 years
• There are no toilet facilities available at site. Please use facilities elsewhere before joining us at this site.
• The consumption of alcohol and use of illegal substances are not permitted BEFORE or DURING a tour, any guest believed to be intoxicated, or otherwise under the influence will be asked to leave.
• Smoking/Vaping is not permitted at any time during our tours.
• Once tours have commenced, guests will be unable to leave the tour group.
• Historic Australia reserves the right to change a tour itinerary and/or Tour Guide(s) without notice.
• Mobile & tablet devices are only to be used on tour whilst taking photographs or in an emergency.
• Video cameras & recording devices of any sort are NOT permitted.
