What you'll see

After pick up from your accommodation or centralized meeting location at 8am, begin your travels over more than 43.5 miles (70 km) of iconic beaches in your private 4WD vehicles traveling across the sand. Many of these beaches only accessible by 4×4, enjoy the views of white sandy beaches with the Pacific Ocean on one side and natural bush land on the other side.

Enjoy the choice of a gourmet picnic lunch or lunch at Rainbow Beach Surf Club as a refreshing break before continuing your tour.

Experience each of these locations as your tour progresses:

40-mile Beach: A pristine stretch of white sand with stunning headland views all the way from Noosa to Double Island Point

Red Canyon: Here, red and yellow sands form a unique canyon in the sand dunes where you will enjoy magnificent views over Teewah Beach – a breathtaking beautiful landscape.

Lighthouse: Double Island Point Lighthouse offers breathtaking 360-degree views across the Pacific Ocean and scenic surrounds of the Great Sandy National Park. This location often spots pods of dolphins, turtles, sharks, manta rays and Humpback Whales (June-October).

Colored Sands: This world famous attraction has more than 40 different shades of color. The tour includes a demonstration of the traditional techniques used by the Aboriginal people to create artwork and decorate boomerangs. 

Honeymoon Bay: This area boasts a saltwater lagoon with some of the most scenic landscapes in Australia. Here we stop for a refreshing break where you can swim in the protected waters of the bay, or body surf on the longest right hand breaks in Australia all year round.

Rainforest: A beautiful and unique rainforest drive through sand dunes.

Take advantage of the optional 8 mile (13km) detour through the freshwater track of Yuraygir National Park to Rainbow Beach. This track gives a full 4WD experience and travels through world growth hardwood timbers through a unique rainforest growing in sand dunes.

Your day trip ends with return to your departure point at 3:30pm.
