Explore the sub-alpine forests and admire the limestone cliffs rising above Medicine Lake. Take a short scenic walk along the shoreline while your guide shares the fascinating natural history of this mysterious disappearing lake.
Arrive at Maligne Lake for a 90-minute scenic boat cruise. Take in the glacial-blue waters, towering mountains, and lush shoreline. Stop at Spirit Island to walk to the famous viewpoint and capture the iconic Canadian Rockies scenery, all while learning about the lake’s human and geological history.
After the cruise, enjoy a packed lunch you bring with you or purchase from the Maligne Lake House Café (additional cost) before returning to Jasper.
Central Downtown Location – Two Brothers Totem Pole, located across the street from the Jasper Park Information Centre lawn (500 Connaught Drive). All day parking is available in the adjacent parking lot (behind the washroom building).

* Travel is by comfortable 24-seat minibus and fully covered boat. However, as mountain weather can be unpredictable, participants should bring a rain jacket or umbrella and warm clothing to wear during the outdoor/walking portions of the trip in case of inclement weather.
* We have a short break for lunch at Maligne Lake. There is the chance to purchase lunch at the Maligne Lakehouse restaurant, although during peak season (July-August) there can sometimes be long lines. To avoid waiting in line, you may wish to bring your own lunch.
