About this experience

Sete Cidades Half-Day Shore Excursion (Comfortable Car or Van)

Discover Sete Cidades, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of Portugal, on this scenic half-day shore excursion. Enjoy pick-up directly at the Ponta Delgada cruise terminal and travel in a comfortable car or van through the island’s lush, volcanic landscape.

Your first stop is the stunning Vista do Rei viewpoint, where you’ll admire the iconic twin lakes—Lagoa Azul (Blue Lake) and Lagoa Verde (Green Lake)—set inside a vast volcanic crater. Their contrasting colors and surrounding beauty make this one of the Azores’ most photographed sites.

Continue down into the crater to explore the quiet village of Sete Cidades. Stroll through its charming streets and visit the 19th-century São Nicolau Church, a peaceful neo-Gothic building framed by gardens.

This tour offers a perfect mix of natural wonder, culture, and relaxation—ideal for cruise guests with limited time who want to experience the heart of São Miguel.
