About this experience

This is one of the most popular tours in Cape Town and involves a visit to two of the most popular attractions in the city.

Learn about the history of the world statesman Nelson Mandela and how he was treated on the island. This tour can be done in a single day and does not take you the whole day.

Stop 3

Cable car are the first thing that attracts visitors. Jump into the cable car, one of the three with a rotating floor. As you are taken to the top, its a three minute ride with a 360-degree view of the city of Cape Town.

On top of the mountain, you are welcomed by a bird's-eye view of the city of Cape Town all the way to the wineries. Take in the view of the white sand beaches and the Twelve Apostles peaks.

Take a walk on the amazing landscape, which is made up of sandstone and quartzite rocks. The vegetation is predominantly fynbos. (which forms part of the cape floral kingdom World Heritage site.) Table Mountain plays host to a variety of plant species, especially fynbos.

Look out for hikers on several hiking trails, with the most popular being the Platteklip Gauge. There are many photo opportunities with the amazing back grounds of the city of Cape Town, the wine country, and the blue ocean.
