Detailed itinerary

1

We start the tour 6 am and the first stop will be in Chiguata, more than 3,000 m above sea level, at the Mirador de los Volcanes, a privileged panoramic point from where you can see three imposing guardians of the Arequipa landscape: the volcano Misti, the Chachani and the Pichu Pichu. This moment offers a spectacular view of the mountain range and is ideal for taking pictures and acclimatising before continuing the ascent. Later we will get to know the square and the church in the area, to finally have our breakfast.

2
Stop 2

Nature provides and offers a spectacular landscape, surrounded by wonderful flora and fauna.

3

The Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, , offers stunning Andean landscapes. Depending on the season, you can see water mirrors or a white salt flat, surrounded by wildlife such as vicuñas, llamas and flamingos. When the salt pan is dry, it is ideal for taking perspective pictures thanks to its flat and shiny surface.

4

We will be able to observe the extraordinary fauna and flora of the region, such as vicuñas, llamas, alpacas and guanacos, as well as yaretales and queñuales. The next stop will be at the salt flats and bodies of water of Salinas, where, depending on the season, we will be able to see flamingos and experience the optical illusions created by the characteristic water mirrors of this natural area. We are considering the time of return to the city of Arequipa.

5

You'll visit the Lojen mini-volcano, a curious geological formation, and then head to the natural hot springs, where you can enjoy a relaxing soak of approximately 30 to 60 minutes, surrounded by a unique Andean environment.
