Detailed itinerary

1

We start our beautiful day by collecting you and your partner or group at your accommodation in Cape Town at 7:00 am in a private vehicle with a private guide-driver. We will drive along the N1 for approximately 2 hours before we reach the game reserve in the little karoo. Along the way, your expert tour guide driver will tell you the history surrounding the areas and towns which you will see along the way.

2

The tour begins at Fairview Wine Tasting and Cheese in Paarl, Cape Town, South Africa. Visitors will enjoy a delightful selection of award-winning wines paired with artisanal cheeses, all set against stunning vineyard views. Knowledgeable staff will guide the tasting, sharing insights into the wine-making process and local terroir. As travellers savour the flavours, they will also have the opportunity to explore the picturesque estate, making it a memorable introduction to South Africa’s vibrant wine culture.

3

Aquila Reserve is one of the best Safaris near Cape Town and home to the Big 5 animals. A private and malaria-free tour of the southern Karoo semi-desert region in comfort, and begin your day with a pickup from your central Cape Town hotel. When you arrive at the reserve, you'll be greeted by your guide and game ranger, and then you'll board an open-air safari vehicle for your game drive. Learn how the so-called ‘Big Five’ - African elephants, Cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, and rhinos - got their nicknames as you keep your eyes peeled for any sign of them, as well as giraffes, hippos, and other animals. In part due to the abundance of wetlands on the Aquila Game Reserve, birds are a significant part of its appeal. Over 170 species of birds live in the park, including the endangered ‘Aquila’ Black Eagle, which gives the reserve its name. Enjoy the unforgettable experience of being in the company of elephants, lions, rhinos, African buffalo, and leopards at the Aquila Game Reserve.
