IN 1999; The Robben island was registered in UNESCOS world heritage list. Robben island is located 12 kilometers off the coast of cape town , south Africa .for decades, its was home to a maximum-security prison where Politycally prisoners father of Democratie and others were incarcerating during apartheid system.

In may 1913 the government set aside the state of kirstenbosh for the establishment of national botanic garden at kirstenbosh , and agreed to contribute 1000 opera Annun. the Bothanical society was formed on 10 June 1913 and held its general meeting on 31 July 1913.

IN 1685, during an annual visit to the cape ,Hendrik Adriaan Van Rheede to Drakenstein, granted the grounds of Groot constantia to Simon Van der Stel the first governor of the cape of good hope. van der Stel built the house and used the land to produce wine as well as other fruit vegetation and for cattle farming.
