About this experience

Mt. Takao is a spiritual mountain located west of Tokyo. It is about one hour from Shinjuku by train.

There is an old temple named Yakuoin, built in the 7th century. The mountain was considered sacred, and its nature has been preserved for more than 1300 years.

This mountain has various hiking trails, some along the river and some along the ridge. If climbing up the trail is difficult, you can take a cable car, which makes climbing much easier.

The guide can explain both the nature and spiritual meaning of this mountain. You can see beautiful nature and a holy temple.
