Get a front-row view of the world-renowned Door County sunset from the comfort of a kayak.

Our sit-on-top kayaks are

stable, safe, and easy to paddle. Paddle with your guide around the North Bay and explore shipwrecks if conditions present themselves.  A safe protected harbor allows for an easy start.

This is the perfect tour for couples who want to unwind after an exciting day exploring the Peninsula or anyone who appreciates a stunning sunset. It's a view you are guaranteed to remember for life!

At the end of the sunset kayak tour, stop off at the Top Deck Bar for a meal or a drink to finish the night off.  This is one of the secret spots for a sunset due to the Gordon lodge beach being private.

What you'll see

Tour starts approx 1.5-2 hours before sunset at the Gordon Lodge Beach. 

Park in the parking lot and walk towards the beach, there is a bathroom and changing room near the grassy area. 

Your guide will be setting up the kayaks, meet your guide, get a life jacket fitted, sign a waiver, get a paddle lesson, then launch on the kayaks.  Explore North Bay and if conditions allow, the shipwrecks. 

Paddle back to the launch area as the sun is setting and snap a few photos to capture the scene.

After the tour, stop off at the Top Deck Bar and Restaurant to enjoy a cocktail or dinner with the afterglow of the sunset.
