About this experience

We offer you a 03-day tour package to visit the best of Arequipa and with revenue included.

On the first day we will take a pedestrian tour of the historic center around 2 hours and also visit the route of the ashlar and the viewpoint of Yanahuara (4 hours prox), this day will serve you adaptation as they are smooth routes of short duration and easy access. Hours are flexible.

The second day we will visit the Salinas Lagoon on a half day tour, we start at 06:00 am and finish at 1:30 pm approximately, you will enjoy nature, take amazing photos and have free time in the afternoon to rest or shop.

On the last day we will leave early, pick up is at 03:00 am so you can get to know the Colca Canyon on a full day tour, and you will also see the flight of the condor, you can also relax in the thermal baths. After lunch (not included) we return to Arequipa. return around 05:00 pm.

Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

We will tour the center of Arequipa (Cultural Heritage of Humanity) on foot and learn about the history, traditions and culture of Arequipa.

First we will visit the Añashuayco quarries located in the Cerro Colorado district just 25 minutes from the center of Arequipa, in the quarries the guide will explain how this volcanic stone was formed, its uses and the importance it has for the city and then you will have time to take photos of the carvings as well as the sculptures.

This wonderful destination offers us a great biodiversity and amazing landscapes, you can take mirror photos and/or photos in the salt flat depending on the season, the rainy season is between January and March.
You will have the opportunity to appreciate the volcano Ubinas, flamingos, llamas, alpacas and vicuñas. It is possible (optional) to take rides in four-wheelers.

We will stop to take pictures at this famous tourist attraction and appreciate the beauty of its colonial church and viewpoint built with volcanic stone "sillar". Besides being a historical site, Yanahuara stands out for being one of the most romantic places in Arequipa.

We will enter this Republican house named after the Arequipa writer who won the Nobel Prize in literature.

We will observe the facade of the Jesuit church which is an unmissable display of the syncretism or fusion of Andean, Inca and Catholic religious beliefs, the guide will explain every detail, we will also visit the interior of the temple and the guide will explain the syncretism that shows the colonial painting of the last as well as the Baroque altar, and then we will visit the old school of the order to appreciate its amazing colonial architecture and enchant ourselves with its carvings in volcanic stone

One of the most important tourist attractions of Arequipa, being a point of observation of condor, ancient Andean symbol, in addition to appreciating the flight of this majestic bird you can take photos in the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest in the world.

On our full day Colca tour we visit the Chacapi thermal baths located in the town of Yanque, recommended to relax and recharge energy with its thermal medicinal waters whose temperatures range from 32 °C to 38 °C.

Stop 9

We will take a short walk in this small ashlar canyon (20 minutes approximately) and observe the pre-Inca petroglyphs, which are a sign of a millennial cultural legacy, at the end of the walk you can make your own apacheta (offering for the sacred mountains).

Stop 10

Place of historical relevance and foundation of Arequipa. The guide will explain the architecture and events that occurred in this square. We will climb to a terrace to observe the volcano Misti and the cathedral.

Habitat of a huge diversity of Andean flora and fauna we will stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes to observe the Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca

It is the largest village in the Colca Valley, and is the place where we will have breakfast (included) on our full-day Colca tour

We will start the day at 06 am and leave Arequipa for the Laguna de Salinas on the way we will stop in the agricultural district of Chiguata, to take pictures of the Arequipa countryside and the volcanoes that surround them.

It was the old prison of the city, now converted into the craft market and is located very close to the complex of the order of San Francisco in which its beautiful square surrounded by Jacaranda trees stands out.

In the Colca Valley there are many villages, one of the most interesting is the Maca where you will find the most friendly alpacas in the valley and you can taste the juice of sancayo, a fruit of cactus that also combines with pisco in this area to make Colca sour.

Walk through the canyon on the left bank of the Colca River and make stops to photograph the landscape at the viewpoints of Antahuilque and Wayrapunku
