Experience the heart and soul of Lisbon with our signature walking tour. During this experience, you'll learn about the history and culture of Lisbon through various stops, squares, monuments, restaurants, and shops in the historical center. With bites and drinks along the way, you'll discover the city through exploration and storytelling. This tour blends the perfect mix of the must-see sites while exploring some of the lesser-known local favorites. We have a maximum of 6 participants on this tour so we can explore smaller off-the-beaten path places that aren't available in larger groups.
The first activity starts off right tasting your pastel da nata. Next, we'll make multiple stops seeing neighborhood features like the Santa Justa Elevator, Carmo Convent, the historic Cafe A Brasileira, traditional cafes & shops telling stories about each unique place and learning about Lisbon's history.
Crossing Avenida da Liberdade, you'll learn more about heart of Lisbon through Rossio, São Domingos, sampling the famous ginjinha liqueur, and we'll have some traditional bites to eat at a historic tavern
As we make our way up the hill through Mouraria we'll explore the small streets leading up to Castelo de São Jorge.
Now it's time to wind back down from the top of the castle through the fado streets of Alfama and past Lisbon's oldest cathedral Sé and we will end at Praça do Comércio along the banks of the Tagus River
We will meet right at the coffee kiosk at Praça Luis de Camões. The guide will be holding a "Soul of Lisbon" sign.
