We will drive north of Olhão to the Cerro da Cabeça, a protected natural area by the Nature 2000 Network.
Then you will enjoy a night hike in a little rocky mountain with a good sample of the local biodiversity and even endemic plants. Outstanding views over the surrounding territory and Ria Formosa, are available at any corner of the path. We will use a headlamp, but we also will make the best use of the moonlight to improve your natural night vision to have an enjoyable and memorable night hike experience.
By hiking at night, you will deliberately reduce your ability to use your vision to navigate. This gets you to involuntarily focus on your other senses, especially your hearing and your sense of smell, which can put you more in tune with the environment around you, especially wildlife.
The absence of artificial light is also a great opportunity to get an amazing view of the sky for stargazing.
Succinctly this night hike can make you see the outdoors in a whole new way.
