After we have picked you up from your accommodation, we drive to the Ria Formosa Nature Park restricted area of Quinta de Marim, which functions as the headquarters of the Nature Park.
Then you get to enjoy a pleasant and easy walk of roughly 6 km passing through several habitats existing in this wetlands system like a pine forest, dunes, Mediterranean shrublands, lagoons, sandbanks and intertidal mudflats.
You will be amazed by the outstanding views and landscapes of the lagoons, islands and intricated channels.
In this half day walk you will discover many native flowers and plants of this region, and experience some of its fragrancies and tastes. Observe several species of birds, some crustaceous, butterflies and dragonflies. Find out about local mammals and reptiles. You will also have the opportunity to visit the nature exhibitions at the Ria Formosa Nature Park headquarters.
