OPTIONAL: Visiting of Salt-mines. It takes appx. 3,5 hours from time of you tour in Hallstatt to visit Saltmines. You need to take cable, and then walk uphill 20 min to reach Saltmines. Tour inside cave will take 90 minutes and it is all walking tour with a lot of stairs. Then you need to walk down. In total 3,5 hours. It is not for people with claustrophobic or walking or back health problems.
