About this experience

"Zistwar Dité" has been designed to offer you a unique experience. This excursion allows you to follow the path of the tea pickers in the heart of one of the oldest tea plantations in Mauritius, then to visit the Tea Factory and the Domaine de Bois Chéri Museum. You will have the chance to learn traditional picking techniques and all the stages of tea production. The visit continues with a tea tasting offered in the Chalet du Domaine de Bois Chéri which overlooks the Lac des Cygnes. A tea-based meal is then served in the Bois Chéri Restaurant offering a panoramic view of the south coast of the island.

Bois Chéri is the first tea plantation in Mauritius dates back to 1892.

A guide will lead you through the factory and the tea plantation, offering you to discover the history, stories and tales of the Bois Chéri and the importance of tea productions in Mauritius.

After the guided tour of the tea factory, you will visit the tea production museum learning more about the history of tea in Mauritius.

The Bois Chéri offers a great panoramic view of the south of the island.
A Tea-based meal is served in the Bois Cheri Restaurant.

Nowadays Bois Chéri produces a new range of flavored teas, green teas and herbal teas. You may taste them during your visit.
