The Golden temple is famous for its full golden dome, it is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for Sikhs. The Mandir is built on a 67-ft square of marble and is a two storied structure. Maharaja Ranjit Singh had the upper half of the building built with approximately 400 kg of gold leaf.

It is called a Beating Retreat border ceremony on the international level. The ceremony starts every evening immediately before sunset with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both sides, and ends with the perfectly coordinated lowering of the two nations' flags.

This is an Important pilgrimage for the Hindus, Ram Tirath Temple dates back to the Ramayana Period. It is believed to be the ashram of Sage Valmiki, where Mata Sita took shelter on being abandoned by her husband Lord Rama. Luv and Kush, the sons of lord Rama are believed to have been born here.
