VIP tour with a professional WSET/Sommelier who produces his own red wine from the autoctono Bobal grape from a small centenary plot; explaining Spains grape varieties, organic viticulture you really learn about wine with a revealing behind the scenes tour!

Meet owners at the bodegas & appreciate their top wines, insight into the lesser understood Cava tasting top vintage wines.
Journey a landscape of vines, almond & olive trees with history of viticulture from Phoenican times, we visit La Villa de Requena; guided walkabout 10thC Castle, plaza, Moors caves & Gothic 13thC churches of the Reconquest.

Walk through medieval Requena with it´s spectacular 14thC Gothic churches, 10thC Castillo & plaza, Moors cave visit & shop for local embutido and artisan products ..subject to opening times !

A fully guided DO Pago vineyard & bodega visit (organic) detailed professional guiding by Toni Martin WSET/Sommelier qualified & the owners if available on the day. A wine 101 with interesting facts often not explained, from viticulture to wine & Cava making with guided tastings of 6+ wines inc. Premium vintage G.Reserva Cava & a range of top quality barrel aged red, white & rosado wines with maridaje of local products. I can tailor the wines tasted to suit your tastes. The visit is relaxed with time in vineyard to understand the vines, various types of fermentation vessel, the barrel aging explained, an impressive barrel hall, Cava cellar & process (why it´s not Champagne nor Prosecco) visit the owners restored home & antique cellars circa 1850, modern art works & other quirky items..tasting of the wines with a great selection for you! The visit is aprox. 2.5hrs & is a private VIP visit/tastings on another level beyond a normal visit to a wine estate .

Our 2nd winery is a shorter guided visit with modern eco (solar panel etc) winery set within the former Dominio de Arenal Estate; a walled chateau style winery with the old bodega now museum + restaurante retaining the heritage. We view the splendid barrel hall, old classic winery with tastings 4-5 wines from their high altitude plots 1000m & colection wines from small plots , Cava & Cava Rosado of Pinot Noir are also available inc. maridaje of local produce to compliment the wines with views over vineyards. Tour fully guided by myself Toni Martin & bodeguero. As our tours are by private appointment we may switch this bodega to another of status such as Pago de Los Balagueses to offer the best tour on the day.

Optional tasting Add-on: Martán Caná Pastora & Pastorita artesanal organic wines pertaining to 120yr old Bobal vines. + premium Ex Virgin Olive Oil "en rama" . Hand harvest/selected, natural yeasts, no manipulation or stabilisation, very low sulphites retaining the soul of the wine from barrel to bottle. Truly unrepeatable 2022 vintage representing bobal´s terroir with expression. Limited bottling of only 830 & 1450 bottles. Tasting in vineyards. Please enquire if interested to add-on special tasting (purchase of wines possible). Euro25 p/p payable on the day subject to availability. Shipping available on all wines & our own small batch olive oil.
