Pick up from The Airport / Hotel / Trans Station in Surabaya or Malang by our professional local driver and tour guide at 11:30PM. Estimated travel around 3 hours to Mount Bromo area.
Transfer to a thrilling ride on a 4WD Jeep to Mount Penanjakan. Mount Penanjakan is the best view point to witness the sunrise. The temperature is around 7-10 degree celcius. If you need something to keep you warm, you'll find lost of street side stalls along the way that sell noodles, corn on the cob, coffee and tea. Or if you need an extra jacket, you can rent with the cost IDR 30.000 (US$ 1,85 ).
Normally the sunrise will be rise at 04:30 AM.
The driver will drop you off 2 kilometers from the crater. Cross Sea of Sand takes about 45 minutes on foot ( Horse ride is available, rental fees are excluded ). Then climb 250 stairs to reach the rim of Bromo crater. Return back to your jeep at around 8-9 am.
Head to Madakaripura Waterfall to enjoy the magnificent natural sight, the journey is about 1 hour driving. This is optional, you can skip waterfall if you want. Kindly note that entrance fee for Madakaripura Waterfall is not included. If you would like to fisit, the entrance fee for Madakaripura Waterfall is around IDR 250.000/person including the local guide & motorbike ride ( about 5 minutes ride ). Do note that for the local guide at Madakaripura Waterfall are not our tour guide. They are the local people there who actually insisted on being guides due to lack of job opportunity there, and we are unable to choose the tour guide because there are queue guide rules by the local authority. Thus, the tour guide might not be able to speak English at all but the tour guide will stay with you in and out the waterfall
