Start of the tour with passage from Como to Villa Olmo, the first large villa with a majestic garden overlooking the lake and a promenade along the lake that reaches Cernobbio

Villa Erba was built by the noble Erba family in the early 1900s. Recently famous for the films Ocean 12 and Star Wars. The villa is in great demand for private events such as luxury weddings. It is normally closed to the public. From the lake it is the only way to be able to admire it

Villa Fontanelle was built in the 19th century in the neoclassical style by the eccentric Lord Charles Currie. In 1977 it was purchased by the Italian designer Gianni Versace who set about restoring it to its neoclassical splendour. The work, completed in December 1980, included a large ornamental garden with three cottages, a tennis court and a lakefront facade of about 800 meters. After the death of Gianni Varsace the property was sold to the Russian Arkady Novikov, who bought it for 33 million euros.

Located in Blevio, Mandarin Oriental Lago di Como is another 5-star luxury hotel. It boasts a spa, lake views, elegant rooms and suites, 2 independent villas, a refined restaurant and extensive gardens. The Oriental Mandarin Hotel is the beautiful Villa Roccabruna. It was built in 1910 on commission from the family of Emilio Wild, a Turin industrialist. During the second half of the twentieth century Villa Roccabruna seemed to decline several times, almost reducing itself to the state of ruins. Subsequently, in 2010, it was renovated and transformed into a luxury hotel: the Oriental Mandarin Hotel.

Villa Troubetzkoy, was built in the 1800s by the Russian prince Alexandre Troubetzkoy. Since many large boulders had to be removed quickly, the Prince used mines which earned him the name of "Turbascogli" or "Rock Disturbance". After 5 years of restoration it is now a luxury boutique hotel with a swimming pool and spa overlooking the lake.

Villa Pliniana was built on an inlet of Lake Como; surrounded by lush vegetation and located in the rock. Very close to the Villa, the Valle Colorata stream plunges into Lake Como, after a seventy-metre waterfall. The loggia separates the main floor into two distinct parts which house two large rooms, the reception, the billiard room, the dining room and the kitchen.
