About this experience

Discover the stunning natural beauty and unique culture of Hokkaido on this unforgettable one-day tour to its most iconic destinations! Your journey begins with a scenic ride to Fukidashi Park, where you’ll experience the pure spring waters flowing from the foot of Mount Yotei—often called Hokkaido’s “Little Mount Fuji.” Then, soak in the serene views of Lake Toya, a magnificent crater lake surrounded by volcanic peaks, followed by a peaceful stroll along the charming Toyako Onsen Pier, where hot springs meet the lakeside breeze. Next, enjoy the photogenic landscapes and fresh dairy treats at Lake Hill Farm, a picture-perfect countryside stop straight out of a Miyazaki film. Finally, witness the dramatic power of nature at Hell Valley (Jigokudani)—a steaming volcanic landscape filled with sulfur vents and otherworldly beauty. With comfortable transport, scenic views, and a well-paced itinerary, this tour is ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and first-time visitors.

Fukidashi Park, located at the base of Mount Yotei in Kyōgoku, Hokkaido, is a tranquil and scenic destination famous for its crystal-clear spring water, which flows continuously from underground at a cool 6.5°C year-round. Designated as one of Japan’s “100 Exquisite Waters,” the park invites visitors to taste and collect this naturally filtered water straight from bamboo spouts—an experience cherished by locals and travelers alike. As you stroll through the park, you’ll encounter lush moss-covered stones, wooden bridges, vibrant seasonal flowers, and a peaceful pond reflecting the surrounding greenery. An observation deck offers sweeping views of the area with the majestic Mount Yotei as a backdrop, especially stunning during autumn foliage season. The on-site Michi-no-Eki Meisui Plaza offers delicious treats made with the spring water, such as coffee jelly and soft-serve ice cream, and a local restaurant serves regional dishes including soba noodles and grilled Hokkaido lamb.

4

Meisui Park, also known as Meisui-no-Sato Kyōgoku, is a picturesque rest area located beside the renowned Fukidashi Park at the base of Mount Yotei in Hokkaido. This scenic spot is celebrated for its pure, cold spring water and peaceful surroundings. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing walk across a charming suspension bridge, admire streams fed by natural spring water, and unwind on the grassy lawns or at the picnic tables scattered throughout the park.

Stop 5

Lake Toya, located in southwestern Hokkaido within Shikotsu-Toya National Park, is a stunning caldera lake known for its serene, mirror-like waters and breathtaking views of Mount Usu and the surrounding volcanic landscape. Unlike many other lakes in Japan, Lake Toya never freezes, even during the cold winter months, making it a picturesque destination year-round. Visitors can take scenic cruises on the lake, explore the charming Nakajima Islands at its center, or enjoy relaxing hot springs with panoramic views along the lakeshore. The area also features walking trails, observation points, and seasonal fireworks displays that light up the sky during the warmer months. Whether you're soaking in an onsen, strolling through lakeside parks, or enjoying local cuisine with a view, Lake Toya offers a peaceful and visually striking retreat into Hokkaido’s natural beauty.

6

Toyako Pier Hot Spring Street is a popular attraction in the Toyako area of Hokkaido. It combines natural beauty, hot spring experience and delicious food. It is a must-visit place for tourists! Note: You can only go there after April 1st and before March 31st.

7

Lake Hill Farm is located on a hillside, with Mt. Yotei in the distance. In summer, there are green meadows and cows grazing leisurely, as if you have walked into the animation world of Hayao Miyazaki. The ice cream truck in the farm is also a good place to take pictures, with bright colors and super photogenic~ !

8

Showa Shinzan Bear Farm is located not far from the hot springs district. The slogan of Hokkaido "Beware of bears" originated from here. You can watch the cute performances of brown bears. (Tickets are at your own expense: 6 to 7 USD). You can eat at the restaurant instead of going to the bear farm (at your own expense)

9

The name "Noboribetsu" originates from the ancient Ainu word "ヌプルペッ" (Nupurupetsu), which means "white turbid river," a reference to the region’s milky, mineral-rich hot spring waters. One of its most famous sites, Jigokudani—also known as Hell Valley—is the dramatic remains of a volcanic eruption. Here, volcanic gases continuously escape from cracks in the grey-yellow rocky ground, creating an eerie and otherworldly atmosphere. The surrounding landscape is barren and scorched, with no vegetation due to the intense sulfur emissions, giving rise to the name "Hell Valley." The steamy, rumbling terrain offers a powerful visual of nature’s raw geothermal energy and is one of the most iconic sights in Hokkaido.
