Câmara de Lobos is a small fishing village located in the southern part of the island. João Gonçalves Zarco, one of the island´s discoverers, upon disembarking found many sea lions who sought shelter in the coastline´s rocky caves. It was then that the town was christened with the name “Câmara de lobos”, Câmara meaning Municipal chamber and lobos meaning sea lions. The landscape that surrounds this city is marked by the presence of its characteristic fishing boats known as 'Xavelhas'.

The minimum age to drive is 18 years old. Children aged 7 to 12 years or at least 1.20 m (3.93 ft) can travel in a Booster seat (let us know in advance if you need one). All minors must be accompanied by an adult, and it is mandatory to sign a Term of Responsibility for children up to 13 years old.

What happens if the car runs out of battery during my rental? You will have to call the telephone number that is written on the car, and we will give you all the necessary support in order to resolve the issue as soon as possible.
All customers with reservation must check in 15min prior to the tour start.
What is the company's policy on rescheduling the experience in case of bad weather conditions? In case of bad weather conditions and if the company considers that there are no safety conditions to operate the activity, it’s possible to reschedule it for the same day depending on availability.

Are there any restrictions on where I can park a Spinach car? You can park the Spinach wherever cars and motorcycles are parked. You just have to pay attention, because some of these parking lots are paid.
What happens if there's an accident or the car is damaged during my rental? The car's documents are in the trunk, and it has third-party liability insurance, just as in a typical auto accident. Contact the support number in order to streamline the procedure.
Can I take a Spinach car outside of the city limits? We recommend driving just on the chosen route so that you can fully enjoy the experience. There are also roads that are prohibited, such as motorways, highways, and bridges.
