Detailed itinerary

Visit to a modern olive oil factory, where we will learn about the method of processing olives for making extra virgin olive oil. Full olive oil factory tour is given, where we learn the qualities of olive oil, and the various byproducts, and we will taste some fresh organic extra virgin olive oil.

Visit a traditional old olive oil mill, where we see how olive oil was being extracted and produced back in the earlier centuries. Our tour guide explains the tedious procedure, as we see the machinery from first hand.

Visit at a private fruit and olive tree farm, where we learn the various varieties of olive oil, we collect some fresh fruits right of the tree, and we bond with nature, as a professional farmer explains the farmer's way of life and the daily routine of olive oil production.

We visit, possibly, the oldest olive tree in the world, which is located in an undisclosed location. We stand in awe of this tree's dimensions, and we get to touch a more than 2500-year-old living olive tree!

We visit the region of Apokoronas, where we stop at a monastery with a strong connection with olive oil production. We see this monastery's olive oil factory and we learn about the significance of Olive oil for locals through the years!
