Explore as well the north west part on the outside of the crater visiting Mosteiros a lava deltic formed from the erupçtion of Pico da Mafra, and Ferraria another lava deltic from the erupction of Pico das Camarinhas, two of the forty six erupctions that occurred around the Caldera od the volcano since its colapse at 36000 years ago.

Visit the Natural Monument of Ferraria. A lava Fajã used by several species of birds such as the Cory's shearwater and Barolo Shearwater.
With a Natural pool among basalt rocky from the lava flows

In a 4WD follow through the North Ridge of the crater. A dirt road that allows to see this magnific crater from different perspectivies along the way.

Explore the inside of the caldeira with an average of 5.3km diameter uncovering the volcano and its lagoons known by the green and blue lagoon.
