Stop 1

We will pick you up from your Hotel in the center of the city of Arequipa and begin our pedestrian tour.

• First we will visit the Plaza de Armas of Arequipa where we will have a detailed explanation of the history of the Arequipa Cathedral and the portals that surround the Plaza de Armas.

• Later we go to the Church of the Company of Jesus where we will give a brief explanation about the history of the church and its construction and characteristics that make it so representative in the city.

• Cloisters of the Company of Jesus, Located on the left side of the Church of the Company, in this place you can see the sculpted ashlars on the pillars and the beautiful corridors.

• Casa Tristán del Pozo, currently managed by the Continental bank, is a building that for many architectural scholars, the pediment of the façade of this house is the best example of the typical ornamentation of Arequipa, in Peru.

• Plaza and Church of San Francisco, make up one of the most beautiful buildings in the city, a very beautiful and quiet place.

• Barrio de San Lázaro, the oldest neighborhood where it is said that it was the place where the second founding of Arequipa took place.
