No visit to Guilin is complete without a visit to Yao Mountain (Yao Shan). It is the highest and largest of Guilin city’s mountains (within a radius of 20 km) and can be seen as a prominent landmark from many places in the city and suburbs.
Although not a typical karst peak the ascent and summit afford spectacular views over the karst formations of the Guilin landscape.
Yao Shan and the surrounding area have many aspects, features and attractions that make it an unmissable visit. Yao Shan even has it's own golf course!

Your driver and tour guide will meet you at 8:30am or 13:00pm of your hotel at Guilin city central and need 40 mins driving to Yao mountain. the tour totally around 4hrs included the round way transfers.
Yao Mountain: It got its name from the Yao Temple built on the west slope in Qin Dynasty. 8 kilometers away from city center and 909 meters above sea level, is made of earth and is the largest and highest mountain in Guilin city area, used to be an island in the ancient ocean while the other hundreds of hills of Guilin are lime stone.
