Travel through Peace Memorial Park and travel back in time through VR reenactments based on historical facts such as testimonies of A-bomb survivors and photographs of the past. We will guide you through a rare tour where you can experience the streets before the atomic bombing, "that day" when the city of Hiroshima became a burnt field, and the journey from there to the present day through VR.
Your guide will be waiting for you at the reception. Your guide will show you how to use the VR goggles.
After that, go down to the basement and relive the life of Eizo Nomura, the only survivor of the fuel building (now the rest house).
Through the VR headset, you can see and
feel what the before and after "the moment".
You can learn how the Atomic Bomb Dome was destroyed by the atomic bomb and how it became what it is today.
~Two months after the atomic bombing~
The townscape that has turned into a sea of fire is conveyed along with the testimonies of the A-bomb survivors. After that, I would like to talk about an episode that started moving toward reconstruction despite the devastating damage.
The only building in the world to have left visual traces of the atomic bombing, it was registered as a World Heritage site in 1996.
~From the first year after the atomic bombing to the present~
I would like to talk about an episode in which people rose to their feet amidst the chaos and took steps towards recovery. I appeal for peace to the future that the same mistakes will not be repeated.
I will output what I felt on this tour. Post a comment on the wall of the "river of hope" written by people wishing for peace and express your condolences.
