Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Once everybody has been picked up by our minivan our Rhodes private island tour proceeds to the first stop where we visit the Seven Springs. It’s a place of natural beauty, where the seven natural springs create impressive scenery. In the surroundings, there are several species of birds. You will love the walk through the dark narrow stream tunnel down to the lagoon and the waterfall. Not one for those scared of the dark or confined spaces but be brave!

2
Stop 2

Then we drive at Butterfly Valley where you can notice a rare habitat that hosts the butterfly Panaxia Quadripunctaria, which makes its appearance in this unique natural park in the period from mid-June to late September. Some of these butterflies are very rare species and are found in very few places around the world. We make sure that we arrive early so we can see the valley when it’s quiet and peaceful before other tour groups get there. The valley consists of pine-clads, crossed by a stream, shady paths, forming ponds, wooden bridges and small waterfalls in its course.

3

On our way to the west coast we meet small villages which are built amphitheatrically on the slopes of the highest mountains of the island. Well known for the wine production and the developed apiculture. The village of Embonas is located 54 km from Rhodes town halfway up the mountain of Attavyros. It’s a pleasant picturesque village surrounded by vineyards. Very popular for a unique grape variety which thrives around it and whose culture dates back to antiquity. It is considered as the center of the local wine industry and that is why is the ideal place for winetasting tour in Rhodes island. You will have the chance for testing several local wines and visit the popular Traditional house of Embonas.

4

Traditional village - St Panteleimon church

5

The next stop of our trip is Monolithos village. Just after the center of the village we will stop to enjoy the view from the high. This wonderful view to the Chalki island opposite and take panoramic pictures.

6

The village of the famous watermelons.

7

On our way to the south, we will finally meet the last part of the island, Prasonissi beach. Prasonisi Beach is the meeting place of two seas, the Mediterranean and the Aegean Sea. This means that when you are there, you can swim in the Mediterranean Sea then jump in the Aegean Sea in just a matter of seconds.
