Detailed itinerary

1

This is a private tour picking you up at your hotel/Airbnb/cruise ship in Tromsø. We first go through the evening to plan and throw in some personal wishes and ideas. The tour itself starts in Tromsø, one of the best places to see the northern lights situated directly under the northern light’s oval.

Our main part of the tour will be spent outside Tromsø. My favorite spots are all located by the sea, a sea that never freezes in the north of Norway due to the Golf current. The seawater is warmer than the air most of the winter, and there are people crazy enough to go for a swim. If the weather is cloudy along the coast, we head for the inland and the mountains.

The big advantage in Tromsø is that we have plenty of locations to choose from, and roads leading in all directions. We will go to wherever is safest and most likely for guests to see the Northern Lights – sometimes that is 30 min outside the city, and on other days all the way to the border with Finland.
