In Turkey, in a living of comperatively conservative cultures and traditions we live, weddings are a important element of people socially expressing themselves. A lot of people could meet at weddings and then get married. Therefore, halay and other folk dances are an important way of self expression.
Although this starts as a social expression, it is also a great meditation when you can feel the balance of the mind and the body in the flow of the music. That's why, we truely find all kinds of folk dances unique and definitely advice all travelers from different cultures to come experience these feelings with us, at our home environment. Being in our home, you will feel very comfortable to let your mind travel freely and hopefully experience these feelings.

- If you are coming from the old town (Sultanahmet, Hagiasophia, Grandbazaar, Eminönü);
I would suggest to take the tram T1 to Kabataş. Then, take one of the busses 41E, 27SE, 29C, 62 or 63. Then, get off at Yıldız Teknik Ünv. station. Once you go up the bridge and go accross the street, the location is 5 minutes walk away.
- From Taksim area;
Take metro M2 to Mecidiyeköy/Şişli. Then connect to M7 and take the metro to Yıldız station. Take the exit number 3. After that, the address is about 5 minutes away.
Once you are at number 16, press the bell for number 14. Then, I will welcome you on the entrance floor.
