After about 1 hour drive you will reach the highlight of this day, the magnificent medieval Laufen Castle overlooking the Rhine Falls. Today the castle serves as a tourist attraction and contains a restaurant. From the castle, a footpath leads you to several viewpoints near the Rhine Falls. Enjoy the unique view from the panoramic lift and see how an average of 700000 liters of water per second plunge over a width of 150 meters into the basin below. After walking through the beautiful town, we reach the St. Georgen monastery on the banks of the Rhine, a former Benedictine abbey with a museum.
The medieval Hohenklingen Castle stands on a hill above the town. We will visit the old castle and enjoy the wonderful view over the region, the medieval town Stein am Rhein and lake of Constance.
