Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Start your day with a visit to the world-famous Angkor Wat. Follow your guide through the temple and learn about its history. Admire the marvelous architecture and intricate carvings. Capture some beautiful photos as you walk around the temple.

2

Head to Ta Prohm, one of hundreds of Khmer temples that has been left largely unrestored since it was rediscovered. Overgrown by big trees and vegetation, the temple has a feel of Indiana Jones as you stroll around.

3
Stop 3

Admire this striking, unfinished temple with its bold architecture.

4

Go through back trails to Ta Nei, mostly ruined after several centuries of the abandonment of Angkor, hidden in the jungle, spooky and adventurous feeling. This one is less visited by big group tours. You will be entertained by forest orchestra-cicadas as well as story telling by tour guide.

5
Stop 5

Continue to Angkor Thom, the fortified city in a square which is 3 km on each side of the enclosed stone wall. Scholars believed it was the most populated city in the world during its time, with around 500,000 residents.

Enter from the victory gate and begin your exploration at Bayon, the temple with towers carved in smiling faces of the Buddhas. Check out the fascinating bas relief of daily life scenes on the first level galleries.

Experience the next door Baphuon by climbing the steep stairs to the top to enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding area. Continue to Phimean Akas located in the center of the Royal Enclosure.
