Meet up and start biking from your hotel. We will ride for around 1 hour on the flat road crossing rice paddy fields throughout countryside tracks, and you may have a chance to see duck farms with thousands of those swimming along the channel or even crossing right in front of you. Stop by the Thanh Toan covered bridge built in the 18th Century in the middle of the Thuy Thanh village.
Keep riding toward the destination of the day with a mountain in the background, the shadow of trees along the road, and smiles from villagers towards An Bang Village. This village is one of the most unusual ones in Vietnam. Villagers receive financial support from their overseas family members, who had mainly flown or escaped out of the country since the Vietnam War, some of those known as Boat-people. With this support, they could build really big fancy houses and villas. However, most of the money was spent on the colossal tombs and temples (and they kept doing it since then), tombs constructed with fine colorful architecture, mixing Confusion, Buddhist, and Catholic religions.
Keep riding to Thuy Tu lagoon for local authentic lunch, then enjoy the ride back or get transferred by van.
