Detailed itinerary

1

Begin your wine adventure at Gentilini Winery, a small, boutique, family-run estate and the first boutique winery in Greece. Nestled among scenic vineyards, Gentilini is renowned for producing top-quality, expressive wines that highlight the unique character, aromas, and flavors of indigenous Kefalonian grape varieties.

Your visit includes a guided tour of the vineyards and winery, where you’ll learn about the history, philosophy, and winemaking process behind their internationally exported wines. The experience concludes with a guided wine tasting featuring a selection of Gentilini’s finest labels, accompanied by a plate of local nibbles and the winery’s own extra-virgin olive oil from the Retreat estate.

2

Continue to Divino Wines & Vinegar, a unique and modern winery complex that beautifully blends history with innovation. Located on the site of a traditional family winery dating back to the 16th century, Divino combines restored historical facilities with state-of-the-art wine production technology.

During your visit, explore the exhibition and museum area, the wine bar, and the restored facilities used for producing traditional straw wines. You’ll then enjoy a guided tasting of Divino’s wines and exceptional vinegar varieties, learning how each product reflects the natural characteristics of the grape varieties. With an annual production of up to 100,000 bottles, Divino offers a diverse range of 12 wines and 3 premium vinegars designed to satisfy every palate.

3

Your final stop takes you to the heart of the Robola Wine-Growing Zone at Orealios Gaea, formerly known as the Kefalonian Robola Wine Cooperative. Founded in 1982 by local winemakers from Omala and surrounding villages, the cooperative was created to protect and promote the exceptional potential of Kefalonia’s vineyards.

Today, Orealios Gaea is one of Greece’s newest and most dynamic viticultural cooperatives, with 300 members and responsible for receiving 80% of Robola grapes from the Designation of Origin zone. During your visit, learn about the rare terroir, traditional practices, and modern oenological techniques that define Robola wines. The experience concludes with a guided tasting that showcases the elegance and minerality of this iconic Kefalonian variety.
