We start the day learning everything we need to know about olive oil. Most of the island of Kefalonia is covered with olive trees. It is the most important product here both for our economy and our cuisine. At Marina s Oil Mill, we will learn how olive oil is made in the modern method. We will also learn the varying methods of production and quality levels. Have you ever wondered what Extra Virgin Olive Oil means? You’ll find out! In their tasting area, we’ll get a chance to sample different oils and other Kefalonian products.

The art of honey... You may be familiar with wine tastings, but what about honey tastings? With several varieties of honey across our island, you'll soon discover that honey tasting is actually quite interesting and enjoyable! If you want to know what pure Kefalonian honey tastes like, the best solution is to come on down to Vlachata, for an amazing honey tasting experience. You will also be able to see the entire honey production process. Honey and other bee products along with several kind of local goodies you will find in our little shop. We will be glad to welcome you!
