This full-day tour begins with pick-up at selected hotels in El Poblado and Laureles to travel to eastern Antioquia. During the tour, you will pass through Marinilla and arrive at El Peñol, known for the planned flooding of its old town for the construction of the hydroelectric dam. There you will visit the boardwalk and the replica of Old Peñol.
Then you will see the famous Piedra del Peñol, a 220-meter-high monolith. You will have free time to make the optional climb up its 740 steps (entrance fee not included) and enjoy unique panoramic views.
The tour continues to Guatapé, the renowned “town of baseboards,” where you will walk through streets full of color and tradition. The tour includes a typical Colombian lunch and a stop at Alto del Chocho before returning to Medellín.
