About this experience
Oil Wrestling (Turkish: Yağlı Güreş), This sport, which has been held every year since 1352, is also known as oil wrestling and is a Turkish sport that has its own rituals and special clothes and is only held in Turkey in the world.
Wrestlers called pehlivan (pehlivan) cover their entire bodies with oil and try to defeat their opponents on the green grass called the Er Meydanı.
Oil wrestling was recorded by Turkey in 2010 on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and announced to the whole world.
We will participate in the stages of these competitions, which are organized in very few numbers in different cities of Turkey throughout the year, organized in Istanbul and the surrounding provinces.
By participating in this tour, they will have the opportunity to watch live competitions which are organized only in Turkey all over the World.

We will go to the stages of the competitions in Istanbul and the surrounding provinces.
Event includes all transfers, lunch, dinner and tickets for the competition.
Traditional Turkish oil wrestling has been going on since 1361. Wrestling is done by wrestlers aged 11 and over in 14 different age categories.
Wrestling is done in the same place in the field in more than one category at the same time. We will watch the event from the sections reserved for the audience. The competitions start in the morning and continue until the evening. Matches and eliminations are held throughout the day and the final competitions take place towards the end of the day.
Therefore, we will participate in the more exciting afternoon parts.
We will set off towards noon and have lunch at local restaurants in the location where the competitions are held, and after the competitions we will complete our tour by having our meal either at the location of the competitions or at a restaurant in the city center.
