Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Visit to the Chapel of Apparitions and the Basilica of the Rosary, one of the largest pilgrimage sites in the world, where Our Lady appeared in 1917 to the 3 little shepherds and they say they saw a lady brighter than the Sun, who revealed to them the so-called 3 secrets of Fatima.
In the same year and in the presence of tens of thousands of people and also the Portuguese press, the so-called Miracle of the Sun took place on a day of heavy rain and mud. This apparition was a unique meteorological phenomenon, as the clouds disappeared in an instant, the Sun turned into a dull silver disc that could be looked at, went into Zigzag movements, turned into a fire rotating on itself, and precipitated itself. over the crowd reflecting multiple colors like those of a rainbow.
In 1984, Pope John Paul II offers the Bishop of Fátima the bullet from the attack that hit him in Italy in St. Peter's Square in 1981, and which can be seen in the crown of the image of Our Lady venerated in the Chapel of Apparitions

Stop 2

Visit to the Batalha Monastery, considered one of the seven architectural wonders of Portugal. Late Gothic and early Manueline style, with decorative elements similar to filigree. Construction began by King D. João I at the end of the 14th century, as a form of thanks to the Virgin Mary for the victory in the battle of Aljusbarrota. It was one of the rare great pitched battles of the Middle Ages between two armies commanded on their own land by their respective Kings. Fought between the Kingdom of Portugal and the Kingdom of León, marking Portugal's definitive independence and paving the way for one of the most remarkable eras in Portugal's history, the age of discovery. The monument is classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

3

Visit to the most charismatic fishing village in Portugal, Nazaré, where you can feel the energy and smell of the sea and grilled fish in the numerous restaurants. To the north of the town stretches a 100m high promontory from where you can observe an unusual and breathtaking seascape. During the winter, between October and March, with any luck, you will be able to watch from the first stand a unique spectacle of the arrival of the biggest waves in the world, which can reach 26m in height and are perfect for surfing. Another attraction in the town is the Nazaré lift, which will certainly be an excellent experience, you will feel the sensation of slight vertigo.

4

Visit to the town of Óbidos, built within the walls of a typically medieval Castle, where you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a medieval environment. You will also try Ginginha, a typical drink from the region.
