We depart from Durban at 7am and head off to Howick Falls. We drive past Pietermaritsburg en route to Howick Falls where we arrive at around 8:30am.

Howick Falls is a waterfall in Howick, KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa. The waterfall is approximately 95 m in height and lies on the Umgeni River. The Zulu people called the falls KwaNogqaza, which means "Place of the Tall One".
From Howick Falls we travel a short distance to Nelson Mandela Capture Site where we visit the Museum and the world renowned Nelson Mandela Monument within the Nelson Mandela Capture Site grounds.
Nelson Mandela was arrested on 5 August 1962 outside Howick, Natal, South Africa. He spent the next 27 years of his life in prison.

From the Nelson Mandela Capture Site we continue with our tour driving along the beautiful Midlands Meander area with its beautiful hills and valleys. We arrive in Drakensberg Mountains at 12 mid-day.
In Drakensberg we see the beauty of the mountains, the scenery is one of the best to see. We also go on a hiking to the Stekspruit Falls in Monks Cowl in the Drakensberg Mountains.
