Stop 1 Pass by

According to tradition, the church was built on the site where the saint was born, in 1195 and it´s dedicated to Saint Anthony of Lisbon. The church is classified as a National Monument.

Built in 1147, the cathedral has survived the powerfull earthquake in 1755.

It´s possible to visit the theatre, which consists of Roman ruins discovered under the rubble of the great earthquake of 1755.

This romantic terrace by the church of Santa Luzia introduces visitors to Alfama with a sweeping view over its houses, churches, and the Tagus River.
