Stop 1 Pass by

According to tradition, the church was built on the site where the saint was born, in 1195 and it´s dedicated to Saint Anthony of Lisbon. The church is classified as a National Monument.

Stop 2

Built in 1147, the cathedral has survived the powerfull earthquake in 1755.

It´s possible to visit the theatre, which consists of Roman ruins discovered under the rubble of the great earthquake of 1755.

Stop 4

This romantic terrace by the church of Santa Luzia introduces visitors to Alfama with a sweeping view over its houses, churches, and the Tagus River.

This viewpoint is essentially one huge balcony above the ancient Alfama neighborhood.

This is one of the most beautiful and ancient neighborhoods of the Portuguese capital, which saw its inhabitants increase after the devastating earthquake that occurred in 1755, when it became part of the (now extinct) parishes of Santo André and Santa Marinha.

Stop 7

Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, (Our Lady of the Hill), looks out over Lisbon and is the city's highest lookout point or miradouro. With such a position it means it offers uninterrupted 250 degree panoramic views across Lisbon from the stunning old quarters and castle to the downtown district of the city and beyond.
