Next, visit the Chariot and Horse Pits (Emperor Carriage Museum). Here, you may have a comprehensive cognition of the funeral system in Eastern Zhou Dynasty (770 BC - 256 BC).
There are 26 remains of ancient carriages and its horses. The fact that the museum is half underground (as they did not excavate all remains but only uncover them) was a surprise and indeed very authentic. The museum also exhibits well preserved artifacts from other areas but that is of approximately the same era from the Zhou dynasty.

Lijing Gate was first built in Sui Dynasty (581-618) when Luoyang was the capital. It is the symbol of Luoyang Ancient City.
