Jeongbang waterfall

This waterfall represents Jeju Island. It is the only waterfall in Asia that falls from land into the sea. A place where you can dip your feet in the water.
'Seobulgwacha' was written in Chinese characters on the rock wall of Jeongjeong Waterfall. There is a legend that an envoy from Qin Shi Huang came to Yeongju Mountain (now Mount Halla) in Jeju Island and went around looking for the herb of immortality, inscribed on a rock. Jeongbang Waterfall has a lot of rocks, so you have to walk very carefully under your feet, and the stairs are easy to come down, but very difficult to get around. As the only natural waterfall in Asia that falls into the sea, it creates a more beautiful scenery when there are many photos and rainbows.
Jeongbang Falls is one of the top 10 unexplored places in Jeju Island and is a must-see tourist attraction.

3

Oedolgae, the starting point of Jeju Olle Trail Course 7, is a stone pillar that rises 20m high from the sea. Standing alone on the sea, it was named ‘Oedolgae’. It is also called 'General Stone' and 'Grandma Rock', and there is a story that General Choi Yeong, when fighting against the Yuan Dynasty, decorated this rock like a general and made the enemy self-destruct. There is an origin of 'Grandma Rock'.

These stone pillars are believed to have been created during a volcanic eruption. A chimney-shaped stone pillar in which the surrounding rocks are eroded by waves and only such strong rocks remain is called a sea stack in scientific terms. Pine trees grow naturally on the top of Oedolgae, giving a picturesque impression. Depending on the viewing direction, it shows a different appearance, and you can feel the beauty of nature. There is a well-established promenade around it, so you can walk while taking in the wonderful scenery.

4

Columnar joints are quadrangular-shaped pillars that look as if they were delicately carved with a sharp carving knife, and are vertical joints that appear in basaltic lava flows. It was formed as a result of the contraction of thick lava flowing from a crater and rapidly cooling. You can enjoy the mystery of nature as the hexagonal stone pillars standing on top of each other, like a stack of stairs, are surrounded like a folding screen. The waves crashing against the pillars are also a sight to behold, and in severe cases, a 'show' soaring more than 20m in height is unfolded, taking the viewer's breath away. The Jusangjeolli Cliffs along the Jungmun-Daepo Coast are 30 to 40 m high and about 1 km wide, boasting the largest scale in Korea and designated as Jeju Island Natural Monument No. 443.

5

Yongmeori Coast is located at the foot of Sanbangsan Mountain and extends to the coast. It is called Yongmeori Coast because it resembles the head of a dragon going into the sea. Sandstone rocks that have been layered for tens of millions of years have been carved out by the waves to form a strange cliff. The oyster room, which is hollow like a secret room hit by waves, or the traces of waves kept by the rock wall, makes you feel the grandeur of facing a long history. The spectacular view of the 30-50m-long cliffs that curve like a meander has been filmed as a backdrop for commercials and movies.

6

To the south of Sanbangsan Mountain, Songaksan Mountain rises from the seashore where Gapado Island looks like it can be reached. It is also called 99 peaks because there are 99 small peaks. It is also a volcanic terrain with a double crater that is rare in the world - two craters exist as a second explosion occurs inside the first crater formed by the first explosion.

Songaksan Mountain is also the site of a dark tour that looks back on the pain and misery of Jeju people who were forcibly mobilized to build a military base for the Japanese military during the Japanese colonial period. In the past, it is said that pine trees, camellias, zucchini, and elms grew as thick as the name, but during the Japanese colonial period, it was burned to make a military base, and now only grass grows thick except for some sections. There are 15 artificial caves dug by the Japanese army during World War II by mobilizing Jeju residents in the coastal cliffs of Songaksan Mountain.
